John Anthony Genzale: höchstwahrscheinlich Überdosis. Johnny Thunders war Junk- und Rock’n’Roll von antiker Grösse, schrieb Drei-Akkord-Hymnen von seltener Eindringlichkeit und schuf so grossartigen, selbstironischen Kaputtrock für all jene, die es nicht makaber finden an selbst inszenierten Beerdigungen teilzuhaben. Thunders spielte die Rolle von Keith Richards perfekter als sein Idol.
